FAQ
Answers about materials, nickel, ring sizes, glyphs, currencies, payment, delivery and returns.
Materials
What are the rings made of?
Most pieces are 316L stainless steel — polished to a mirror, rippled, or finished with black ion plating (IP). Batch 05 is solid brass, hand-darkened and sealed with clear lacquer. Batches 02 and 06 have deep red cold enamel set into the steel. Every product page lists the exact material.
Is any of it gold or silver?
No. We do not use gold, silver, other precious metals or gemstones. The warm tone of Batch 05 is brass.
Will it tarnish or turn my skin green?
316L steel does not tarnish. Brass does react with skin and air: it can leave a faint green-grey mark on some skin and darkens over time; the lacquer slows this. The black IP finish slowly wears back to steel on the raised points with daily wear, which is part of the look.
I react to nickel. Can I wear your jewellery?
Stainless steel is an alloy that contains nickel, and brass is a copper alloy. We do not describe our pieces as hypoallergenic or nickel-free. If you know your skin reacts to metals, please email us before ordering and we will tell you what we know about the piece you are interested in.
What do the glyphs mean?
Nothing beyond being ours. Each glyph is a drawing that marks one casting batch, so you can tell which ring, chain and ear cuff belong together. We make no claims about any effect they have.
Are the batches limited editions?
No. A batch is a group of designs that share a glyph and a finish. We do not number individual pieces or claim limited quantities.
Sizes
How do I find my ring size?
Each ring page has a size table, and the size guide explains how to measure with a ring you own or a strip of paper. Wide bands fit tighter — go half a size up.
Can you resize a ring?
No, our rings are cast and cannot be resized. If the size is wrong, return the ring within 30 days for a refund and order the right size.
Do ear cuffs need a piercing?
No. They slide onto the outer rim of the ear. They are sold singly.
Orders and payment
Which currencies can I pay in?
US dollars, euros, British pounds, Danish kroner and Swedish kronor. Prices switch to the currency of your delivery country at checkout, and every price shows its currency code (for example 48 USD or 339 DKK).
How can I pay?
The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout. Card payments are handled by our payment provider over an encrypted connection; we never see or store your full card number. Your statement will show BRIVALEE.
Do you have discount codes or sales?
No. We do not run promotions or discount codes. If that ever changes, the conditions will be shown next to the offer.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, until it has been dispatched. Email us with your order number as soon as possible, or use the withdrawal form.
